Lors d’une résidence en juillet 2019 à L’institut Bergman (Bergman Estate) à Fårö, Sabina Jacobsson a documenté les environs de Hammars, la maison qu’Ingmar Bergman a construite en 1967 pour y vivre et y mourir. Sabina Jacobsson a passé plusieurs semaines chaque été pendant plus de 30 ans à Fårö sans avoir l’autorisation de visiter Hammars. C’est la première fois qu’elle a la possibilité d’entrer dans son domaine privé.
Sabina Jacobsson est une artiste qui évolue dans les domaines du cinéma, de la photographie, du dessin et de l’installation. Elle est diplômée de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Trondheim en Norvège en 2000. Sabina Jacobsson a eu plusieurs expositions/projections en Norvège et à l’étranger. Elle conçoit des vidéos pour des spectacles de danse et de théâtre. Elle est aussi conférencière dans différentes écoles d’Oslo en Norvège.
Jacobsson est à la recherche de nouveaux liens entre un projet et les moyens techniques utilisés dans lesquels le spontané et l’imprévisible jouent avec l’idée première. Jacobsson expérimente des méthodes de conception dans la réalisation de film liées à des techniques telles que le dessin et la sculpture. Avec un tel point de départ, elle crée des œuvres ludiques et réfléchies. En tant qu’artiste video, Jacobsson intervient à la fois dans une galerie, au théâtre et dans une salle de cinéma. Elle a eu de nombreux projets de collaboration avec divers réalisateurs et interprètes pendant plus de 20 ans.

During a residency in July 2019 at The Bergman Estate on Fårö, Sabina Jacobsson documented the surroundings at Hammars, the house Ingmar Bergman built in 1967 to live and die in. Sabina Jacobsson has spent several weeks every summer for over 30 years on Fårö without having permission to visit Hammars. This is the first time she was granted the oportunity to enter his private estate.
Sabina Jacobsson is a film, photo, drawings and installation artist.
She graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim Norway 2000. Sabina Jacobsson has had several exhibitions/screenings in Norway and abroad. She works with videodesign for dance and theatre performances and she is a lecturer at different schools in Oslo Norway.
Jacobsson is looking for new links between idea and technique where the spontaneous and unpredictable play together with the conceptual. Jacobsson experiments with methods both in terms of direction on film and with analog techniques such as drawing and sculpture. With this as a starting point, she creates playful and thoughtful works. As a video artist, Jacobsson works both in the gallery room, in the theatre and in the cinema hall. She has had many collaborative projects with various directors and performers for over 20 years.
